Private and small group classes following all covid 19 safety protocols.  Classes will be held in the HPAC Ballroom.

In addition to being a fun and social, dancing is like taking a mini vacation from the stress of the everyday. Best of all you don’t have to come with a partner.

The salsa and ballroom program at The Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre & Osorio Dance Sport Studio lead by world champion ballroom dance instructor and coach Edgar Osorio will teach you the basics elements including steps, counting ,hand hold, directions, actions and positions. For seasoned dancers or once the foundations been mastered intermediate classes are available to help tighten your turns, begin to make your dance elegant and your partner connection smooth. Gain the confidence to impress any crowd, connect with new friends and get is shape doing it.

Classes are Monday and Friday Nights!

Mandatory Dress Code:  Dress up & Ballroom Dance Shoes with heel protectors / suede sole shoes or socks. No rubber or street shoes please. Contact Edgar with any concerns.

Salsa is a sexy energetic social dance that brings people together. It is a popular form of social dance originating from Cuban folk dances. The movements of Salsa are a combination of the Afro-Cuban dances Son, cha-cha-cha, Mambo, Rumba, and the Danzón.

Beginner Salsa 6:30-7:30pm | $20
Learn the basics of Salsa including steps, counting ,hand hold, directions, actions and positions. No prior dance experience or partner necessary.

Intermediate Salsa 7:30-8:30pm | $20
Tighten your turns, begin to make your dance elegant and your partner connection smooth.

Ballroom dance is a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. Learn what you What you wish you could do when watching the dance floor and be prepared for the next wedding or Bar Mitzvah.

Instructor: Edgar Osorio

Edgar Osorio is a Professional and Pro/Am World Class Ballroom, Latin, American smooth and American Rhythm Dancer, Teacher, Coach, Choreographer, Actor and Dance Performer.

His outstanding performance has earned him many National titles since 1988. He holds multiple titles including U.S. Mambo Champion, Rising Star Champion and Open American Rhythm champions finalist in the most Prestigious Regional, National and International competitions. He is a Winner of World Salsa Championships
held in USA, Canada , Miami and Puerto Rico.
