The Slipper Room theatre presents Glitter Gutter, a variety showcase featuring comedy, acrobatics, strip-tease, and magic by some of downtown Manhattan’s biggest stars.  Located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, The Slipper Room is the birthplace of neo-burlesque.  They have been thrilling audiences with their unique brand of variety entertainment since 1999. And are proud to bring their show to the Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see the Slipper Room show, right here in the Catskills.

Performer Bios:

2 TO FLY

2 TO FLY is the duo creation of performers Ben Franklin and Joshua Dean. Together, they create burlesque and variety performance acts that have dazzled audiences around the globe utilizing aerial and ground circus acrobatics and combining them with strong storytelling and comedy. They hail from New York City and in 2016 they won the title of Best Small Group at The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.  2 Two Fly appear regularly at The Slipper Room.

Camillicious

Camille Habacker AKA Camillicious is a founder of the Slipper Room. She has been entertaining audiences there with her off-beat style of neo-burlesque since 1999.  She has also performed in rock musicals at the Pyramid, black comedies at Westbeth, the Kraine Theater and the Aspen Comedy Festival, and has appeared in feature films.

Cheeky Lane

Cheeky Lane is a master of transformation with a wicked wit.  She takes the art of strip tease up several notches with her flawless surrealist sculptural costumes and her over the top stage presence that is at once smart and the most delicious naughtiness you ever encountered. Cheeky can be seen regularly at The Slipper Room, and other clubs and theatres in NYC.

James Habacker

James Habacker has been performing as Borscht-Belt comedian Mel Frye for over 20 years.  His other personas include the poet Walt Whitman and an Arcadian Faun known as GoGoatboy.  He is the founder and Artistic Director of the Slipper Room, a Variety theatre in Manhattan that has been home to the downtown performance art scene since 1999.  He has produced, written and performed in thousands of Variety shows, numerous plays, and an operetta.  He has also written and directed one feature film and is partway through making his second one.

Pearls Daily

Pearls Daily has numerous credits onscreen and in theater, Most notably as “Mina Margery Crandon” in the macabre, Drama Desk Nominated Off-Broadway hit “Play Dead” directed by Teller and created by Todd Robbins , as “Minky Woodcock” in “Minky Woodcock: The Girl Who Handcuffed Houdini.” and for her work on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” Her body of work includes Film, TV, Stand-up, Sketch Comedy, Theater, Improv, Magic, and Burlesque. Aside from her eclectic performance career she is also an accomplished model whose clients include Pepsi, Bergdorf Goodman, OLAY, Nat Nast, Canon, Lindsay Adler, Wink My Way, Defy Lingerie, Cynthia Von Buhler, EM Magazine, Titan Comics and many others. Proud member of SAG-AFTRA since 2011. She performs regularly at the Slipper Room and also holds the title of Miss Coney Island 2019.

Rachel Wax

Originally from Chicago, Rachel moved to New York City in 2013 to study fashion design at FIT. With a love of both magic and fashion, she found opportunities to pursue both. Along with her regular appearances at the Slipper Room, Rachel performs at venues all over the country, appearing as a regular at New York City magic shows A Taste of Magic and Speakeasy Magick at the Mckittrick Hotel, Monday Night Magic, the Chicago Magic Lounge, as well as television appearances that include CUNY TV and Fox 5.
